Heres the review Ive written for VRBO: Lovely villa with all the necessities you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Felt very safe. The host met us on arrival and gave us a little tour; then told us where he was if we needed him, but we didnt so he left us to it. Good location, can walk into Coral Bay within 10-15 mins up a slight hill - just be careful of the main road. Theres a huge supermarket about a 5 mins drive up the road which has everything you could need - we hired a car and it would have been difficult to carry the necessities to the villa without it but taxis are an option. Pool was lovely and private. If we had one minor gripe its that the palm trees blocked the sun on the pool for parts of the afternoon (September stay). But they also contribute to the privacy, so swings and roundabouts. BBQ was great, washing machine very handy, fridge freezer very efficient (which mattered in the heat!) An unexpected bonus was the local cats. They were very friendly and respectful. If you feed them, theyll come back - if you dont, theyll leave you be. But, as animal lovers, we did our bit and it was joyous seeing them most days. We maintained the property ourselves, as expected with a self catering holiday. But we found the property in a very clean state.
Overall we enjoyed the Atihina and had a very relaxing time.
Lovely holiday at villa Athena. Our 3rd visit.Nice coming in October as did not need the air conditioning during the night. It is a 20 minute walk to the restaurants and shops along a very busy road so a car is an advantage. Pool and garden area is clean and tidy. Its also nice and quiet being higher up and away from the beach area of Coral Bay. The owner lives nearby and is friendly and always helpful. Thanks for a lovely holiday.
