Just back from two sundrenched weeks in Beautiful Kassiopi. The village was very busy with holiday makers as were the beaches and their tavernas...we found we had to book table for a couple of our fav restaurants in advance. The locals were saying the relentless good weather throughout most of the summer and especially this time of year has given their economy a boost which is well deserved. We will be back next June to enjoy another lovely visit to beautiful Corfu.

Hi Jilly2,
Welcome home. Glad you had another great time in Kassiopi and the sun continued to shine. It's good to hear the village is still as busy as ever.
It appears the temperatures are dropping slightly but we are hoping it will still be warm enough for some swimming when we are there.

We saw Bacchus fully occupied whilst we were there from the distance. Do you prefer the sea or pool? As weather was so hot we didn’t do the long walks this year but went on the yellow submarine trip which was great. The guys certainly know where to find the fish to photograph under the sea ... worth doing as only ten euros for 50 minutes. It’s parked at the harbour. Prices at restaurants about the same as last year and a such a wide selection of fish meat and Corfiot dishes which we love. Have a great time.

Thanks Jilly2.
Looking forward to staying in villa Bacchus. A new villa for us. The pool there looks lovely but we really love swimming in the sea, which should still be warm after the hot summer.
We did the submarine trip from the harbour in August and the grandkids enjoyed it, something a bit different.
Looking forward to doing some walking this October, agree it is much too hot during the summer months, for us pensioners anyhow!

It’s only 20 minute walk from villa down to Avlaki beach 😊 nice little walk along a lane through olive groves and fields where they keep the horses. We often walk down for a coffee and beer just to do our ‘leg stretch’ as we call it. When we first stayed locally in Sinies we would think nothing of doing 5k walk in the hot sun ... that was 12 years ago ... now we are also retired everything’s more of an effort. lol

Off again! We didn't think we'd make it this year but the opportunity arose and we're off on the 11th May, a bit early but we had to seize the moment. Funny that, no matter how many times we've been, we always get that tingle of anticipation. Can't wait.

We returned on Friday from two weeks in Kassiopi. We stayed at Memento Resort on a half board basis which was a new experience for us. We still ate out some evenings indulging in the good food and wine at Melina Bay and Sousouro. We also enjoyed some delicious, leisurely lunches at Limani and Virginia's washed down with their equally good white wines. We got our exercise walking from and to Memento and around the headland. We had a lot of fresh air, sunshine and slept very well.
Our three previous breaks have been with friends & family. Lovely as those were this time we really enjoyed it being just the two of us. We've had a really good rest and are looking forward to our next visit already.
