Artistico House is a typical old traditional Kalymnian House made of stone and totally renovated to the highest standard. It is situated barely a minute walk away from the beaches of Emporios.
 

The House faces South and has views across the sea towards Kalavros and Telendos Island.

 

As with most traditional Kalymnian houses, rock is everywhere. Necessary amenities like air-conditioning are included of course, however, the need for this is minimal.
 

The outside veranda is all paved in stone. From there you can look out and enjoy the sea breeze coming from Emporios
 

Kalymnos is well known as an excellent venue for tourist climbers and some superb climbing and hiking routes are found nearby for those who wish to enjoy a more energetic style holiday.

The kitchen is on a slightly higher level and has a fridge/freezer and mini oven.
 

There is a modern double bed and a wardrobe for clothes.

Artistico is run by George and Irene Glinatsi and their sons Nikolas and Themelis. George is the host and a consumate artist with his six and twelve string guitars combining traditional and modern music with the peaceful Emporios surroundings.
 

You will be surprised how many musicians visit Emporios to share their own music. You will also be surprised by the people in residence. The magician David Weeks, and BBC broadcaster Brian Sibley are now considered locals, at least in the heart of the Emporios people.
 

George's wife, Irene is an artist herself. She prepares all the meals in the restaurant, makes sure that everything is of the highest standard, fresh and with a wide choice of dishes.
