Villa Kalkan is a delightful 3 bedroomed villa, sleeping 6 people, occupying a superb position on the edge of the beautiful resort of Kalkan. A most sort after area - close to the water front and within walking distance of Kalkan beach and village. The villa is a particularly spacious and has wonderful sea views.

Set out over two levels, the ground floor is predominantly a large open plan area. With living, dining and kitchen space from where patio doors lead out to the pool; there is also a separate bath room.
 

Upstairs the double master bedroom leads out onto a large decked terrace that has amazing panoramic views of the area. There are two further bedrooms, both twins, and a family bathroom.
 

This spacious area is decorated in calming, muted tones. Patio doors lead out to a covered terrace with the kidney shaped pool just a few paces beyond. Further large windows enhance the appearance of space and light whilst offering attractive views of the garden and immediate area. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, with plenty of places to relax as well as a more formal dining area.
 

The modern kitchen area is well presented with plenty of storage and work space. Fully equipped, it is perfect for preparing light lunches or romantic evening meals.
 

The spacious master bedroom enjoys air conditioning and elegant modern furnishings. It is further enhanced by the picture windows and patio doors that lead out to a wonderful decked terrace that runs the length of the room. Here the views are at their best, taking you across crystal clear waters to the green hillsides and whitewashed houses of Kalkan.

The two other bedrooms are both twins. Furnished in similar style to the master bedroom they are both comfortable and enjoy plenty of natural light and views from their large windows.
 

Villa Kalkan has a family bathroom upstairs that is furnished with a small bath as well as shower, lavatory and basin. Downstairs is a good size shower room.

Outside the veranda is in part shaded from the midday sun by the decking terrace above. Immediately beyond this is a large kidney shaped pool which bathes in direct southfacing sunlight. Around the pool are palms and shrubs giving a tropical ambiance without interrupting the sea views.

A walk to the town will only take 15 minutes along a coastal path or slightly longer via a quiet road. You can also flag down one of the Dolmus (local minibus) that pass by on a regular basis and be in Kalkan or a nearby beach within a few minutes.

Kas

Kas: , an unspoiled fishing village which has lost none of its charm. Dotted with ruins of the acient Greek town of Antiphellus, among the more recent Turkish buildings to create a unique atmosphere. Just opposite Kas, across the water, lies the Greek island of Megisti (Kastellorizo) with daily boat trips to visit it or you can rent your own Gullet and visit different beaches and bay on the way.

Kastelorizo

Kastelorizo: An excursion to the nearby traditional Greek island of Kastellorizo is a great way to spend the day. The main town is clustered around its little harbour and the pastel-coloured neo-classical buildings are exactly what you would expect a Greek fishing village to look like - the perfect day out. Just 2 nautical miles and a relaxing 40-minute boat ride off the coast of Kas, Kastellorizo is a wonderful village that typifies Greek island life with its backstreets, bars and tavernas to enjoy, a little museum and some walks behind the town for good views.

Kekova Island

Kekova Island: and the town of Kale make an idyllic daytrip for those looking for a combination of sunshine, swimming and fascinating historic ruins. Many boats run trips from Kas daily travelling along the stunning coastline stopping along the way at the caves for a refreshing swim. Along the edge of the island facing the mainland lie the fascinating half-submerged remains of a Lycian sunken city, and some remains also from the Byzantine times. The boatman will allow you off for a swim further to the west, where the remains of a Byzantine chapel stands on the beach and where further sunken remains can be explored with mask and snorkel. In case you want to travel to Kekova by car, you can hire one of the small boats at Ucagiz village to visit the sunken city and also Simena.
