Surely one of the most unique buildings in which to holiday, La Torre was originally a watchtower, built in the 1800s during the war between Siena and Florence. Today it has been extensively renovated creating a wonderfully comfortable and impressive living space in which many of the original and utilitarian features have been retained.
 

A haven of tranquillity, the property is set in a large and superbly maintained garden on a natural terrace that faces the medieval town of San Gimignano. With breathtaking views across the surrounding countryside and a fabulous pool this villa is the perfect destination for visitors who are seeking something not only very special but a little different too.
 

With attractive, rustic furnishings, Torre is on 3 levels and split into two separate apartments that are joined by an internal staircase. An ideal and spacious location for groups of up to 10 guests.
 

The ground floor apartment comprises a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area as well as a shower room. Linked from the living area by an original glass passageway is the sleeping area. This comprises a vestibule, double bedroom, single bedroom and a second shower room. Additional sleeping space in this apartment comes in the form of a sofa bed in the living room and a pullout bed in the sleeping area.
 

The first floor houses a shower room and second open plan living, dining and kitchen area where there is a steep staircase to the second floor. This final level comprises a large double bedroom and sitting area as well as an en suite shower room.
 

The 2500 m2 of mature, enclosed gardens are terraced and set to lawn with pathways, shrubs and trees. The fabulous views cannot be overstated, looking out across a patchwork of countryside and rolling hills, whilst a wide, well furnished sun terrace surrounds the large private pool (open from May to September).
