Villa Melina is a new stylish villa, with private pool, and sleeping up to 10 people. Located close to the village of Tavronitis and just a short walk to the beach and tavernas.

The villa is set in beautiful private grounds that feature exceptional automatic night lighting; so you can enjoy the villa to the full both day and night.

Ground Floor

On the ground floor there is a large dining room, living room, and on a split level area there is a kitchen, wc/washroom with shower, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

First Floor

On the first floor is a double bedroom and a large bedroom with double bunk beds (suitable for 4 children), along with a large family bathroom. A door leads out to a private terrace with the mosaic tiled pool.

On the ground floor there is a large dining room and living room with a satellite TV.

In the lounge the owner provides an 'honesty bar' with a selection of local wines for you to enjoy.

The fully fitted and equipped modern kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering style holiday. It includes a full oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

Next to the kitchen is an inside dining area.

Outside there is a large BBQ and pizza style oven.

All bedrooms are fully air conditioned.

There is a large family bathroom with jacuzzi and one wc/cloakroom with handheld shower.

Tavronitis

Tavronitis is a quiet undeveloped village facing a 3km of beach with several villas dotted along the beach front. The beach rarely becomes busy and there is always plenty of shade in the form of trees, that fringe the beach, or rental sun beds and umbrellas. On the beach you will also find some 'Kanteens ' that sell cold drinks, snack and light taverna meals. In the village there is a good selection of shops, traditional tavernas and super markets. Tavronitis is a perfect starting point for exploring the NW of Crete. The nearby town of Kissamos is just a short drive and there you will find numerous archaeological sites as well as trips to uninhabited islands off the coast of Crete.

Maleme

Maleme Is a historic coastal village which was involved in several battles during WW2. Today the scene is much more friendly with a sandy beach and welcoming turquoise waters. There are several tavernas, bars and min-markets.

Kissamos

Kissamos is the area that covers the NW corner of Crete and is one of the least developed areas. Rolling hills descend down to rugged almost deserted sandy beaches. Two of our favourites are Falassarna Beach and Balos Beach. Another, not-to-be-missed treat is taking a ferry from the port of Kissamos to the island of Gramvousa. Here you will find a unique desert island setting with sandy beaches.

Balos Lagoon

Balos Lagoon: is a beautiful beach covered with fine white sand giving the sea a dramatic emerald color. In front of the beach is the picturesque island of Gramvoussa. Balos Lagoon is accessible by boat (from Kissamos) or via a rough track. It is one of the finest beaches on Crete and definitely worth a visit.

Georgioupolis

Georgioupolis is a former fishing village by the western end of the bay of Rethymnon. Recently, the old fishing port was extended to accommodate a small marina and the landmark of Georgioupolis is a tiny white-washed chapel at the end of a jetty. Within the village and around the port are numerous tavernas and bars where you can absorb the local atmosphere as it has been enjoyed over the ages.
