Villa Kefalaki

Above Nissaki on the northeast coast of Corfu, there are some quite delightful conversions of old stone houses, set amidst olive groves, overlooking wonderful views. Yet the beaches and pleasant, friendly village of Nissaki are just 1 km away - barely a few minutes by car. Villa Kefalaki is one such villa. Quiet and totally private, its spacious outside terraces afford ample space for outdoor meals in sun or shade. The views really are spectacular. Tavernas and a supermarket/bakery are nearby.

Entry to the villa is via the main terrace, reached by a few steps up from the parking area. Once inside, all rooms are on one level with no steps throughout making Villa Kefalaki suitable for anyone with mobility problems. There is a living area, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The property has been most sympathetically restored, allowing the old stone walls to speak for themselves. These same stone walls do, of course, help to keep the house cool in summer, but for extra comfort, the whole property is air conditioned.

The lounge, with comfortable seating, features exposed stone walls, contrasting with the rich tones of the wooden ceiling, and an open fireplace.

The dining area is close to the kitchen, although with the shaded outside terrace and its magical views being so convenient for the kitchen too, it is unlikely to get much use!

The galley style kitchen is well equipped with large fridge freezer and dishwasher. (A washing machine is located in the master bathroom.)

A convenient window, opening from the kitchen on to the covered terrace, doubles as a serving hatch at meal times, not to mention framing an idyllic view!

Each bedroom has 'French Doors' offering easy access to the main patio and pool - essential for that early morning swim.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom, with a double bed, has an en suite bathroom. French windows open to a private southfacing terrace with sea views and direct pool access.

The three bedrooms are air conditioned.

2nd Bedroom

The second bedroom is a twin and has French doors opening on to the main patio.

3rd Bedroom

Attractively furnished with a modern version of the traditional iron bed.

There is a bathroom with full bath and shower fitment en suite to the Master bedroom, and a shower room shared by the other two bedrooms.

A totally private pool, on the same level as the house and main terrace, so there are no steps from the property to the pool.

Around the pool is a large terrace for sunbeds and shade.
There is also a pool side shower.

There are two very pretty patios and terraces with fantastic views ideal for dining.

The nearby Vitamins Taverna offers a collection and return service - to save you from walking or driving from your villa.

Nearby Bar

The Midnight Bar is on the main road where you turn off for Villa Kefalaki - it is quiet and friendly and conveniently equipped with Internet access. The local supermarket is right next door, and a very good taverna is just along the road. Beach access from here too.

The villa surroundings are very prettily finished with fruit and olive trees and bright geraniums.

Nissaki

Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town.

Krouzeri has a long beach (sandy and pebbles) offering safe swimming, water sports and diving. Beachside tavernas provide welcome refreshments to those enjoying the beach and excellent snorkelling. The nearby Nissaki Beach Hotel offers a swimming pool which is open to non-residents, a restaurant and bar and, during the evening a low-key disco. There is a jetty/collection point for the water taxis which operate in the area.

Kalami

Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'. A popular destination for couples, Kalami is also ideal for a family holiday with tavernas, safe swimming, water sports and boat hire - everyone is catered for!
