Kalliopi has changed very little over the years, apart from some alterations and additions that have brought it into line with the expectations of today's visitors. It remains, however, a traditional village house, greatly enhanced by its beautiful terrace with private pool. The property is simply yet comfortably furnished and offers ideal accommodation for couples or a family aiming to unwind and absorb the local friendly atmosphere. Kalliopi is situated just a few steps from the beach with 2 tavernas to choose from.
Layout
Kalliopi opens into a cool hallway from which the rooms radiate - the kitchen/living room to the left and the bedrooms and bathroom to the right. Hall, kitchen/dining/living room, double bedroom, twin bedroom, 2 shower rooms, pool terrace.
Living Area
With two sofas and an arm chair there is always plenty of room to relax, and the broad terrace and inviting swimming pool is right outside, reached through French windows. The lounge area is also large enough to accommodate a camp bed for a 5th person quite comfortably.
The lounge patio doors open directly onto the pool terrace.
Kitchen
The open plan kitchen offers all the space you need for preparing meals to be enjoyed around the pool.
Bedrooms
The double bedroom is simply furnished with a wall mounted air conditioning unit and side window overlooking the well developed gardens and trees. A dressing table with mirror and double wardrobe completes the bedroom furnishings.
The twin bedded room is furnished with a dressing table with mirror and double wardrobe with storage/hanging space. The side window overlooks the garden and path from the house to the beach front.
Bathroom
The main bathroom houses a corner shower cubicle with sliding doors, wc, washbasin with vanity unit and light above.
There is also a second shower room with WC and washbasin.
The pool is surrounded by thick vegetation, providing a private screen around the pool.
Pool Dimensions
Size: 6m x 5m Depths: Shallow=1.00m; Deep End=1.40m
The large vine covered pool terrace will probably become your favourite part of the house - sitting out here amidst the plants is rather like sitting in a conservatory! Time spent here, either dipping in the pool, relaxing on one of the sunbeds, or sitting round the table will be just what you need.
A few steps away, you will find the perfect beach of Kaminaki.
Kaminaki
This aerial view of Kaminaki, (click to enlarge,) shows the exact location of Kalliopi.
Kaminaki, located on Corfu's north-east coastline is spectacularly beautiful, but has remained uniquely unspoilt in spite of its celebrity-status.
Kaminaki is one of the small and enchanting bays that stud this coastline like jewels on a necklace. Still only a hamlet, with village houses occupied by their original local inhabitants, it has a mixture of modern and converted accommodation, two unpretentious tavernas (and others within easy reach), and water of Caribbean colours that laps against a gently shelving beach of pure white pebbles and sand.

Krouzeri Beach
Krouzeri has a long beach (sandy and pebbles) offering safe swimming, water sports and diving. Beachside tavernas provide welcome refreshments to those enjoying the beach and excellent snorkelling. The nearby Nissaki Beach Hotel offers a swimming pool which is open to non-residents, a restaurant and bar and, during the evening a low-key disco. There is a jetty/collection point for the water taxis which operate in the area.
Nissaki
Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town.
Agni Bay
Agni Bay: In Greek Agni means un-spoilt and this describes Agni perfectly - just
three Tavernas (each with their own jetty for mooring up to) and a sprinkle of local buildings. The bay is reached mainly by rented motor boats, although recently
there is now a narrow road down into the bay. Each evening we offer a 'Speed Boat' taxi service, from surrounding bays to Taverna Agni. The above video shows the exciting experience.
Kalami
Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for
both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'. A popular destination for couples, Kalami is also
ideal for a family holiday with tavernas, safe swimming, water sports and boat hire - everyone is catered for!
