Yiannis' suggested itineraries include from Katelios west to Lourdas and Trapezaki, but some of the more secluded beaches en route are probably better for first-timers, being nearer and more secluded. Cruising eastwards from Katelios towards Skala, takes you past Kaminia and around Cape Mounda where there are some lovely sandy beaches to be found.
Koroni
Travelling westwards from Katelios, Koroni is a sandy beach accessible by boat as well as by road. Koroni is a very quiet sandy beach which is famous for its sand and therapeutic clay (you can mix up your own mud pack) found below the rocks to the far side of the beach. The Sesto Beach Bar operates on this beach in the summer months.
Lefka
The next babeach along from Koroni which is secluded and not accessible by car is Lefka.
Lourdas Beach
Sailing from Koroni you will pass Cape Kastanas which is below the Sissia Monastery. The beach of Lourdata is a mix of sand and shingle and is easily accessible by car. The beach has sunbeds and sunshades for hire. There is a beach bar and some tavernas by the beach.
Lithero beach
Narrow strip of sandy beach at Lithero along from Lourdata. Here you will find a lone fish taverna. The beach has a track leading down to it so it is also accessible by car.
Trapezaki
Further along from Lithero you will find the sandy beaches of Trapezaki. The first beach you find is only accessible by foot along a track and further along before the jetty you will find more sandy coves and a taverna by the beach.
