Situated just 1.5 kms from the town of Argostoli, the campsite is near Katavothres with its now disused water-wheel which still marks the spot where sea water disappears underground on its journey across the island.
Across the road which links Argostoli to Lassi via the Lighthouse or 'Fanari' is a small beach which is known locally as the Argostoli Campsite beach.
The campsite operates from May to September.
The 40,000 metres square campsite offers earth pitches amid olive, almond and poplar trees with 170 places for tents, caravans and campers. There are also some wooden huts with electricity supply.
There are communal areas for cooking and washing utensils, common refrigerators and barbecues. There is also a volleyball court, children's playground, restaurant, mini-market and music hall with live Greek music. The 24 hour reception can arrange tours, offers exchange, car hire and first aid.
