Villa Melissa is a detached villa with private pool set in lawned gardens and sea views. The sandy beach of Katelios, with its waterfront tavernas and bars, is just a few minutes' walk.

The villa sleeps from 2 to 5 people and whilst being close to the sea it remains private and secluded. Panoramic views from the villa take in the local countryside and sea beyond.

Designed by the same architect as Villa Alexandra which is close by, Melissa is a bungalow style, fully air-conditioned villa which has been designed for summer living.

The front door opens into an open plan living/dining room with kitchen. Two sets of French windows lead out to the shaded patio area overlooking the gardens and private swimming pool.

The villa is ideal for a romantic holiday as well as for families. The gardens are lawned and fully enclosed creating a safe environment for children.

The living room has a comfortable sofa with cosy fireplace and TV. The French windows lead out onto a shaded patio area with bamboo sofa, chair and table, with lawned gardens at the front and swimming pool to the side. The villa is fully air-conditioned.

The fully fitted kitchen includes a full cooker, microwave oven, large dishwasher and fridge. The dining area has a large dining table with 6 chairs.

You will also find kettle, toaster and coffee machine and all you need for a self-catering family holiday to Kefalonia.

French windows lead out to a shaded area by the garden and the private swimming pool.

There are two air conditioned bedrooms.

The master bedroom has double bed, dressing table with mirror and plenty of storage space in built in wardrobes. The bedroom is fully air conditioned and has French doors leading out to a private area of the garden.

The twin room is ideal for children, as the room has a window rather than balcony doors, so there is no direct access to the pool. Fitted wardrobes provide plenty of storage space.

The villa has a large family bathroom with full bath and shower.

The bathroom also has a utility area with washing machine.

The private swimming pool faces south and is set amidst a lovely lawned garden. There are sunbeds and sunshades available for relaxing by the pool.

Next to the pool is a brick built BBQ and a large pergola providing plenty of shade for al fresco dining or for shaded relaxation by the pool.

Villa Melissa is set in spacious grounds with private pool and sunbathing terraces. Garden table and chairs are provided for the pergola area.

Wi Fi Internet access is available from the Floridita Cafe in Katelios close to the local kiosk.

To the rear of the property is a gated parking area. There is just one step up to the front door of the villa which is bungalow style offering very easy access.

Villa Melissa is situated at the beginning of a peaceful country lane just a short walk to the sandy beach of Katelios along with its selection of Tavernas and bars. The resort of Skala is 6 km away from Katelios and the nearest port is Poros 18 km. Kefalonia airport is 27 km. 

Katelios

Katelios is a sleepy coastal village with sandy beach and small fishing harbour. Katelios is famous for its fresh fish tavernas that line the waterfront. There are several (low-key) bars, a couple of supermarkets and an exchange/car rental office. The beach rarely becomes busy, with the largest number of visitors being the loggerhead turtles who favour the soft sand for making a nest!

Skala

Skala is set above a very long golden sandy beach on the southernmost tip of Kefalonia. You have a choice of lively beach life with beach 'shack' type bars, sun bed and beach umbrellas for hire and an array of water sports. Or you can opt for a quieter beach experience by walking along the shoreline until you find your own secluded piece of sandy paradise.

Poros

Poros is not known as a sophisticated resort, the pace is slow with a traditional Greek 'feel'. Poros is a good place for walking and hiking. You can hike to the oldest monastery on Kefalonia. Walk for about 3 km along the beach in a north-west direction, then follow the path up into the mountain of Atros. The path ends at the monastery of the Virgin Mary, at the top of a 500 metre high hill. Views from here are absolutely stunning.

Koroni

Koroni is a very quiet sandy beach. Famous for its sand and therapeutic clay (you can mix up your own mud pack) which can be found below the rocks to the far side of the beach. One of the best ways to visit Koroni beach is to hire your own motor boat (no license required) from Katelios.
