The capital of Zante island is Zante town. It can be reached direct by ferry from Kilini. Ferries run regularly from Kefalonia's Pessada to the north coast of Zante at Skinari and it is less than an hour's drive from there to the capital of Zante. Alternatively there is a ferry service from Poros to Kilini on the mainland with ferry service from Kilini to Zante town.

Zakynthos is the island for those who love beaches. The coastline offers beautiful sandy beaches, sheltered coves and dramatic cliffs to the North. Head inland though, through olive groves and valleys clad in pine forests, and you will discover fascinating Greek villages where time has stood still.
