Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'. A popular destination for couples, Kalami is also ideal for a family holiday with tavernas, safe swimming, water sports and boat hire - everyone is catered for! Agni Bay Agni Bay: In Greek Agni means un-spoilt and this describes Agni perfectly - just three Tavernas (each with their own jetty for mooring up to) and a sprinkle of local buildings. The bay is reached mainly by rented motor boats, although recently there is now a narrow road down into the bay. Each evening we offer a 'Speed Boat' taxi service, from surrounding bays to Taverna Agni. The above video shows the exciting experience. Nissaki
Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town
Follow the main coastal road from Corfu town towards the North East (signposted Kassiopi). You will pass through the resorts of Ipsos and Nissaki. Carry on this road taking care of the narrow road that winds around the mountain side. As you drive out of Nissaki, you will pass the shell petrol station on your left. In 100m time, look out for the signs down to Kaminaki on your right. (Slow down as the turning comes up on you quickly and it is on a bend!) The turning is on your right. Drive down the road to the bottom. (It is a little speed in places, but well worth the effort.) ![]() |
There are two tavernas in Kaminaki, one on the beach and another just above on the rocks. The one on the beach is run by Spiros - a charming and friendly local Greek, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The taverna's traditional charm and beach-front location make it a popular venue. The other taverna is run by George, and enjoys an elevated position and splendid views.
