Flights into the Apulia area couldn't be easier, with two major airports in the region, based at Bari and Brindisi, both of which enjoy year round flights that originate from across the UK. The Italian railway system is a wonderful way to enjoy the spectacular and ever changing scenery. Flying into Rome, then taking a train to the south is another viable travel option, especially if you are considering a two centre holiday.
Venice is serviced by its own international airport (Marco Polo) that enjoy frequent arrivals from most major UK airports throughout the year. Getting from the airport to the centre and St. Marco's square is really easy. There are frequent boat-bus or taxi-boats departing from the jetty just outside the airport (timetables and prices can be found here www.alilaguna.it/index.en.html)
Rome is serviced by its own international airport (Fiumicino) that enjoy frequent arrivals from most major UK airports throughout the year. Getting from the airport to the centre is just a short ride by train/subway.
Getting to the region is not difficult. Bergamo and Verona airports are both a similar distance from Madonna di Campiglio, whilst Verona airport is close to Polsa and Garda Lake. During the winter months there is a regular ski shuttle bus service between airports and resorts, whilst taxi transfers can easily be arranged should you prefer them. ![]() |
