Ambelonas cottage, which is hidden in a forest of pine trees, is set amidst a terrace shaded by a huge old oak tree. The patio has plenty of atmosphere and space for outdoor living with sun beds and a table and chairs for dining al-fresco. A path leads from this terrace to the private swimming pool, set amongst the natural trees and grounds.

Ambelonas Cottage was recently renovated to a very high standard. Entry is into the spacious dining room with low wooden ceilings and large dining table. From the dining room is a bedroom with two single beds and shower room. Also on the ground floor is the kitchen and living room. A master bedroom is upstairs.

The brand new kitchen is fully equipped and includes a washing machine. A kitchen door leads to the garden at the rear of the house.

A spacious living room, has a large fireplace and a sitting area with two Skopelitian sofas and comfortable chairs. Huge glass doors lead to the terrace which is surrounded by flowers and trees and has a path leading to the private swimming pool.

From the dining room is a bedroom with two single beds and a shower room.

The master bedroom is reached by an outside stone stairway and is an example of the original country-style bedrooms found in this type of cottage. The decor is simple and comfortable. The bed runs along one entire wall of the room and is covered with an immense mattress, which was intended to provide sleeping space for all the family together during olive or fruit picking season. The addition of a single bed is perfect for a younger child to sleep in with parents.

The master bedroom has a shower room located on the same landing and which also has a separate outside entrance.

There is another shower room next to the twin bedroom on the ground floor.

The private swimming pool is set amongst the natural trees and grounds.

Ambelonas Cottage is set in the countryside about 1km off the main road that runs the length of the island. A ten-minute drive brings you to some of the island's best beaches in the area around Panormos. Mountains covered in pine forests, contrasting with the bright blue sea surround these lovely, white shingle beaches. At Panormos Beach the waterfront is lined with typical tavernas specialising in fresh local seafood and the mini-market carries most of your essentials. Alternatively, Skopelos town is approximately 20 minutes by car and here you will find a full array of shops, restaurants and cafes. Ambelonas Cottage is in a wonderful area for walking and has numerous paths and dirt tracks in the surrounding hillside to suit everyone.

Skopelos Town

Skopelos Town, postcard perfect, is likely to be your very first introduction to the island of Skopelos as it is the main port and entery to Skopelos. A collection of whitewashed houses with red roofs along norrow streets and alleys dotted with terracotta flower pots. The town is amphitheartically shaped around the fishing harbour that is fronted by tavernas and low-key bars. Those looking for quiet relaxation will be delighted where as those looking for disco bars will be, thankfully, left wanting!
