When you imagine a Greek island villa holiday, on a sandy beach, Antigoni Beach House is just what you have been dreaming of. Hidden away, on the south west coast of the Pali peninsular of Kefalonia, this is an amazing location for stunning sunsets and endless relaxation.

Antigoni Beach house has its own pathway down to the golden sandy beach, just a few steps away.

Inside there is a large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. A hallway leads to two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Above the lounge is a large mezzanine with twin beds. There is also the possibility to add a third (folding) bed, suitable for a child. French windows lead from the living room out onto the pool side sun terrace where pergolas offer shade and provide an extra outside living space.

The comfortable living room is part of the open-plan ground floor and has doors leading out to the sun terrace and pool. The living room is air-conditioned with comfy sofa and a flat screen TV and DVD player.

The modern kitchen is fully fitted and has everything required for self-catering to a very high standard. There is a full cooker plus microwave oven, full fridge and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine.

Dining table and chairs to seat 6 persons in the open-plan dining area. Additional dining table and chairs are situated on the pool-side terrace.

The master bedroom is a double with wardrobe, air-conditioning and flat-screen wall-mounted TV. The bedroom has its own bathroom, located opposite, with corner bath.

The twin bedded room has fully fitted wardrobes, air-conditioning and wall-mounted flat-screen TV. The bathroom allocated to this room is situated opposite in the hallway.

Above the lounge is an air-conditioned mezzanine with twin beds suitable for children.

The villa has two modern bathrooms, one with shower and one with corner bath unit plus shower. There is also a pool shower outside the villa to rinse off sand after a day on the beach.

The swimming pool is set in manicured gardens with expansive sea views from the pool-side terrace.

Beside the pool is a shaded terrace, with dining table and chairs provides, a great setting for wonderful al fresco evenings. There is also a poolside BBQ.

A pathway leads from the garden straight onto the sandy beach of Vrahini.

Remetzo Taverna

Remetzo Taverna is located on the edge of the sandy bay. The taverna serves delicious home cooking. Greek recipes and local specialties are baked in a wood fired oven with pure ingredients straight from the tavern garden, including of course the homegrown olive oil. The taverna also has its own fishing boat. The delightful owners will take care of you during your holiday.

The sandy beaches within the bay of Vatsa are called Aghios Nikolaos and Vrahinari (also known as Akrotiri). These are divided by a rocky outcrop and accessed by separate roads, each one leading down to a taverna just before the beach. There is a taverna at Vatsa bay and a kantina on the beach of Aghios Nikolaos. At the far end of Vatsa bay is one of Kefalonia's two rivers which flows into the sea with wooden jetties alongside for the colourful fishing caiques. This is an excellent spot for fishing.

At the other end of the bay is the sandy stretch of Vrahinari beach with informal beach bar offering drinks and sunbeds for hire. This is a very peaceful setting and used virtually exclusively by the guests staying in a sprinkling of studios and villas in the area.

Vrahinari

Vrahinari: is a secluded beach with just 2 tavernas and a few rental properties. The nearest village for mini-market and fresh produce being Manzavinata which is a short drive away. The large town and port of Lixouri, where you will find shops and more tavernas, is around a 5 min drive.

Lixouri

Lixouri is a delightful water font town with a bustling port at its centre. Regular ferries go back and forth to Argostoli (Kefalonia's capital) with the journey taking just 15 minutes. With a large selections of shops, supermarkets, tavernas and bars, Lixouri has all the amenities that you need for your holiday.

Xi Beach

Xi Beach: is a long sandy beach of reddish colour on the southern part of Lixouri peninsula. If you scrape some of the clay from the rocks here and mix it with water to form mud, you can cover your whole body and enjoy a mud-bath! Cheaper than the Body Shop and more fun! Watersports and boat hire available.
