The castle buildings have been attractively and thoughtfully converted into charming holiday apartments. The main building has been lovingly maintained, retaining many wonderful features and frescos that have adorned the property for centuries, offering guests opulent and beautiful surroundings, as well as lovely restaurant that specialises in mouth watering local dishes.

A kilometre from the little village of Montagnana, and around 5km from the larger Montespertoli, the castle is set in the heart of Chianti. Part of a large estate with vineyards and olives, it sits in it's own extensive, manicured classical Italian gardens whose design dates back to the 18th century. Potted lemon trees are abundant; with formal lawns, covered paths and topiaried hedges it is a delightful setting. Within the gardens there is also a large pool with plenty of loungers surrounding it, beyond which the rolling countryside of the area completes this wonderful picture.

The castle buildings have been converted into 30 separate apartments and a villa that can each be rented individually. However, the location is is ideal for weddings and other functions, so booking multiple accommodation for guests wishing to attend is equally possible.

Unit 1B, sleeps 8

A mezzanine ground floor apartment set over 100 m2 of floorspace. This apartment is around 150m from the swimming pool and 50m from the castle itself.
This accommodation comprises a large, open plan living and dining area with kitchenette. The living area has sofas nestled around a big open fireplace, behind which is a dining suite and a kitchen equipped with hob and fridge, offering sufficient space to prepare snacks and light meals.
The apartment has four spacious bedrooms, two doubles, two twins, all of which are light and airy. Two shower rooms and a private furnished area outdoors completes this property.

This pleasant ground floor apartment is set over 75 m2 of floorspace. It has it's own access from outside the castle and has a mezzanine style layout.
The accommodation comprises an open plan living and dining area with kitchenette. This room is particularly pleasant with a domed ceiling, arched window and lovely old tiled floor. In the living area is a sofa bed, whilst the kitchenette has a small hob and refrigerator, offering adequate facilities for the preparation of snacks and light meals.

The double bedroom is quite fabulous, with a wealth of heavy ceiling beams, a very ornate bed and a old stone mantlepiece. The second bedroom is a passage way room. Twin bedded, it is set in the ancient library of the castle. A small shower room completes the facilities.

The kitchenette is sufficiently well equipped for the preparation of hot snacks and breakfasts. The airy and spacious double bedroom is charming, with a wealth of ancient beams in its ceiling. An attractive, white tiled shower room completes the apartment.

Set over 45m2, this second floor apartment is located in the oldest part of the castle.

The apartment, which has a wealth of ancient exposed beams in its ceilings, comprises a pretty, open plan living area incorporating dining area, kitchen corner and sofa-bed. The kitchenette is sufficiently well equipped for the preparation of hot snacks and breakfasts. The airy and spacious double bedroom is charming, with windows looking out over two aspects.

A few steps upwards is a small shower room, completing this accommodation.

This is a lovely, spacious, second floor apartment situated in the tower of the castle.

The large, bright living-room with big windows that look out over the roofs of the castle and the surrounding landscape, comprises a dining area, kitchen corner (equipped with hob and refrigerator), a feature fireplace and 2 sofa beds. On the same level is a large and very attractive double bedroom with a charming arched window and shower room. The accommodation has old tiled floors and beamed ceilings throughout.

A first floor apartment set over 75m2, this attractive accommodation has its own private access from outside the castle.

The open plan living, dining and kitchen area has 2 sofa beds amongst its furnishings. Although not big, the kitchenette is quite sufficient for the preparation of snacks and breakfasts. In addition there is a large twin bedded room, a passage-way room and a shower room. The accommodation is simply furnished in a rustic style, and enjoys old polished tile floors and a host of exposed ceiling beams throughout.

A ground floor apartment with 113 m2 floorspace, it is located around 150m from the pool and 50m from the castle itself.

A large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area form the central hub of this accommodation. Winged high back chairs nestle around a large open fireplace, whilst the dining table seats 8 and the kitchen area is equipped with fridge freezer and hob, providing adequate facilities to prepare snacks and light meals.

Up just a few steps from this area and to the four spacious double bedrooms and two shower rooms.

The whole apartment has old tiled floors and a wealth of open beamed ceilings. It also has satellite TV and its own furnished area outside.

Unit 17, sleeps 4

Located on the second floor, and with access from outside the castle, this apartment is set over 55 m2 of floorspace.

The main living area is an airy, high ceilinged open plan space incorporating dining and kitchen areas as well as two single sofa beds. The kitchen is equipped with fridge and 2 ringed hob, sufficient for the preparation of snacks and breakfasts.

From the small entrance hall, a bright living-room with dining area and kitchenette is accessed. This area has 2 single sofa-beds in and the kitchenette, with fridge and hob, is adequately equipped for the preparation of snacks and breakfasts.
Leading off the living area is a spacious double bedroom with ensuite shower room. The old tiled floors and beautiful open beamed ceilings are found throughout this apartment.

Unit 22, sleeps 3

This compact first floor apartment has 32 m2 of floorspace.
The accommodation comprises a cosy living area with dining suite and single sofa bed, plus a kitchenette equipped with hob and refrigerator that is sufficient for the preparation of snacks and light meals. Off this is a double bedroom with an attractive canopied bed and a shower room.

Unit 23, sleeps 6

Located on the first floor, this large three bedroomed apartment has 120 m2 of floor space.
The accommodation comprises a lovely timbered ceiling open plan living and dining area. Furnished in a rustic style this room is attractive and comfortable. It also has a kitchenette equipped with hob and refrigerator, being quite sufficient for the preparation of snacks and light meals. At one end double full length windows overlook a fabulous view of the formal gardens at the front of the castle and the lovely countryside beyond.

From the living area the bedrooms are accessed. Two of the bedrooms, one double and one twin, are 'passageways' though are large and spacious. The third bedroom is also a double. The two double beds are both quite stunning in very different ways. One has a pretty canopy or baldaquin, whilst the other is on a raised wooden platform. A shower room and a cloakroom with wc and handbasin completes this attractive apartment.

Located on the second floor, this large three bedroomed apartment has 100 m2 of floor space. It enjoys lovely views out over the surrounding countryside.

The accommodation comprises a large and bright open plan living and dining area. Furnishings include two sofa beds and a kitchenette that is equipped with hob and refrigerator, being quite sufficient for the preparation of snacks and light meals. From the main living area the two large and attractive double bedrooms are accessed as is a shower room.

Located on the second floor, this attractive open plan apartment has 70 m2 of floorspace.

The accommodation comprises an a living and dining area whose furnishings include a single sofa bed and a kitchenette that is equipped with hob and refrigerator, being quite sufficient for the preparation of snacks and light meals. There is an open gallery where the lovely double bed has a canopy or baldequin and a single bed that is afforded privacy by a curtain that can be drawn across the alcove where it is located. A shower room completes the facilities.

The living and dining area are spacious and have plenty of seating as well as a sofa bed. Also in this area is a kitchenette, equipped with small hob and fridge/freezer, offering adequate facilities for the preparation of snacks and light meals.

A 3 stepped staircase in the living room takes you to the attractive double bedroom. There is also a smaller twin bedded passage-way room, which enjoys a lovely picture window, and a shower room.

Accommodation set over three levels, with an independent entrance situated along a secondary road, approx. 150 from the swimming-pool and 50 from the castle.

The entrance is on the ground floor.

1st floor comprises an attractive open plan living space with sitting, dining and kitchen areas. A large fireplace is the focal point and complements the rustic style of the room which has terracotta tiled floor and open beamed ceiling. The kitchen area is equipped with hob and refrigerator, and is quite adequate for the preparation of snacks and light meals. The space enjoys pleasant views over the surrounding landscape. Also on this level is a spacious and simply furnished twin-bedded room with attractive ensuite shower room.

2nd floor has a second spacious bedroom, this time a double with an ensuite shower room.
