In August 2005 Agni Travel was recommended by the BBC Travel programme 'Departure Lounge'. Presenter Simon Calder booked the Cole family into Spiti Antigoni, at Agni Beach, and showed them the highlights of Corfu and Paxos.
 

In the same year Agni Bay was chosen by the BBC as the location for the much awaited re-make of 'My Family and Other Animals', the much loved book by Gerald Durrell. This is a reflection of the enduring charm and unspoilt nature of Agni.
