The Olive Press has to be one of our favourite properties, for its incomparable setting right on the water's edge, and for the way its owners have turned it into a very beautiful villa without sacrificing any of its dignified architecture and appearance. Just a few subtle changes have been made to the old building, with its massive stone walls and wooden ceilings; just enough to add to the comfort and convenience of the house. The terrace is quite superb, a marvellous setting for outdoor 'gracious living' - romantic dinners by the sea, lingering lunches with the waves splashing against the wall for accompaniment. With a secluded beach close by and your own speedboat (optional extra), it must be one of Corfu's finest properties.Located between Nissaki and Barbati and totally private.
It is very easy to fall in love with the Olive Press. Filled with character and with the natural beauty that all old Corfiot buildings seem to have, it will soon begin to feel like home to you.

The stunning view from the master bedroom.

Bathrooms
The Nissaki Olive Press has two bathrooms. One upstairs and one downstairs.
The south-facing terrace could not be any closer to the sea - the waves splash against its wall. A few steps lead down to the water's edge, where the swimming is glorious in an incredibly clear sea.
The terrace is very well furnished, for both outdoor meals and lounging about soaking up sun and views. Shade is provided by an old grapevine, and by large modern umbrellas.
Could there be a more idyllic setting for an enjoyable meal?
The Sea
The Olive Press has the largest pool on the island - the sea itself! A small (lockable) gate and just six stone steps lead you directly into the sea. The water is crystal clear, making snorkelling a delight.
A private sunbed terrace is directly in front of the olive press.
The nearby Vitamins Taverna offers a collection and return service - to save you from walking or driving from your villa.
The Cottage
Note: The Olive Press and the next door cottage can be rented together, sleeping up to 10 persons. Contact us for more details.
Floor Plan
Boat Hire
The villa's location is particularly suitable for hiring a motor boat. This can be moored at the bottom of the steps for the duration of your stay, and those with experience can use the boat at night to visit the nearby beach front tavernas.

Nissaki
Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town.

Wi-Fi Internet

Places Close By
Kaminaki
Kaminaki, located on Corfu's north-east coastline is spectacularly beautiful, but has remained uniquely unspoilt in spite of its celebrity-status.
Kaminaki is one of the small and enchanting bays that stud this coastline like jewels on a necklace. Still only a hamlet, with village houses occupied by their original local inhabitants, it has a mixture of modern and converted accommodation, two unpretentious tavernas (and others within easy reach), and water of Caribbean colours that laps against a gently shelving beach of pure white pebbles and sand.
Krouzeri Beach
Krouzeri has a long beach (sandy and pebbles) offering safe swimming, water sports and diving. Beachside tavernas provide welcome refreshments to those enjoying the beach and excellent snorkelling. The nearby Nissaki Beach Hotel offers a swimming pool which is open to non-residents, a restaurant and bar and, during the evening a low-key disco. There is a jetty/collection point for the water taxis which operate in the area.
Kalami
Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for
both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'. A popular destination for couples, Kalami is also
ideal for a family holiday with tavernas, safe swimming, water sports and boat hire - everyone is catered for!
Agni Bay
Agni Bay: In Greek Agni means un-spoilt and this describes Agni perfectly - just
three Tavernas (each with their own jetty for mooring up to) and a sprinkle of local buildings. The bay is reached mainly by rented motor boats, although recently
there is now a narrow road down into the bay. Each evening we offer a 'Speed Boat' taxi service, from surrounding bays to Taverna Agni. The above video shows the exciting experience.
