Nestling on a hillside amongst the olive groves above the village of Nissaki, Villa Kalithea enjoys the most stunning views across the coastline, sea and onward to Albania on the far side of the Corfu Channel.
 

Located next to Villa Ilios, but separated by a high wall, this attractive villa is ideal for family holidays. In addition to the fabulous scenery that surrounds it, it has a private pool and is well equipped to cater for up to six guests.
 

Villa Kalithea is set over two levels. On the main ground floor is an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, off which is the master bedroom, a double, and a further twin bedroom as well as a shower room.
 

A marble staircase at one end of the living area takes you down to the lower ground floor. On this floor is a third bedroom, furnished with twin beds and benefitting from an en suite bathroom.
 

All three bedrooms enjoy air conditioning which is available at no extra cost.
 

At one end of the open plan living space is a comfortably furnished lounge. It enjoys plenty of light from the large picture window and a further frosted glass window that overlooks the staircase at the far end of the room. A television with local satellite channels, DVD and CD player are also in this area.
 

At the opposite end of the living space is the main entrance to the villa. It leads into the fitted kitchen, which is well equipped. Facilities include a dishwasher, full sized oven and four ring hob, refrigerator and plenty of storage. Here an informal dining suite is also to be found.
 

The master bedroom is light and airy. It is simply furnished in a traditional style and enjoys French windows that lead out to a seaward facing shaded balcony, which makes the most of the fabulous views. The balcony itself has table and chairs so guests may sit and enjoy the tranquillity of this lovely spot.
 

The attractive twin bedded room on the ground floor is similar in both size and furnishings to the the master bedroom. It too has French windows that take you out to a furnished balcony that enjoys beautiful views of the sea and surrounding countryside.
 

Not to be outdone by its counterparts, the twin bedded room on the lower ground floor is almost identical to the one above it. This room also has a balcony with sea views as well as benefitting from an en suite bathroom.
All three have air conditioning.

The ground floor shower room is fresh, bright and tiled throughout. Whilst downstairs the en suite bathroom benefits not only from a large vanity unit as well as full bath and lavatory, but also houses a washing machine.

Outside in the grounds of this attractive home the reason for choosing it as your holiday destination really becomes apparent.
 

As well as the amazing location, the facilities outside are superb. The private pool is large and incorporates a shallow childrens pool in one corner. Around it is an extensive stone patio and sun terrace, on which sun loungers and parasols are provided. In one corner is an outdoor shower.
Olive trees provide shade from the sun along one side and wrought iron railings surround the area offering a level of safety without being intrusive to the views and surroundings.
A large barbecue makes al fresco dining around the outdoor table and chairs located on a patio area to the rear of the villa an absolute pleasure.
 

A circular area of the pool has been included specifically with children in mind. At a depth of 80cm it is perfect for the smaller guests to enjoy.
 

It's not often that the opportunity arises to have a shower whilst admiring such an amazing vista.
 

The barbecue area is in a shady spot not far from the main door to the villa. The large purpose built barbecue at one side offers the opportunity to cook a veritable feast, whilst the location means it is also handy for the kitchen.

Nissaki

Nissaki is a small pretty resort with a horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent swimming and water sports. There are several tavernas specialising in local cuisine. A small harbour shelters the many little fishing boats that are moored there and there is a jetty/collection point for the Taverna Agni water taxi which offers an evening service to Taverna Agni and a twice-weekly trip to Corfu Town.

Krouzeri has a long beach (sandy and pebbles) offering safe swimming, water sports and diving. Beachside tavernas provide welcome refreshments to those enjoying the beach and excellent snorkelling. The nearby Nissaki Beach Hotel offers a swimming pool which is open to non-residents, a restaurant and bar and, during the evening a low-key disco. There is a jetty/collection point for the water taxis which operate in the area.

Kalami

Kalami: The bay of Kalami nestles below the hills of the North East Corfu and is famous for both its beautiful beach, and Lawrence Durrell's 'White House'.
