The island of Corfu is located just off the West coast of Greece. Corfu enjoys a mild Mediterranean climate along with excellent beaches making it a popular destination for holiday makers. Corfu is very green compared to other Greek islands: hot and dry summers along with winter rain creates lush vegetation which is dominated by over 2 million olive trees. These olive trees on Corfu are the main cultivation, although Corfu's tourism now provides the most income.
 

The beauty of Corfu is that it is easy to escape the crowds either by finding a small deserted cove to swim or head a short distance into the hills to find a traditional village and try the local food or relax in the local bar with the Corfiots and watch the world go by.

A Taste Of Corfu Time Approximately 3 hours

Not only is Agni Bay regarded as one of the most beautiful spots on the Island it has one of the best tavernsa on the Island as well. Spiros will drop you off at the Agni Taverna so you can relax over some delicious Greek food and wine with the sea lapping up on the beach a few steps away. The taverna regularly welcomes celebrities and politicians from around the World to experience this unique and memorable place.

 

 

Achilleion Palace Time Approximately 1.5 hours

The Palace, located in the village of Gastouri, was erected in 1890 for Elizabeth (Sissy), the Empress of Austria as the solace of her soul. It was used as her summer retreat. Later the Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany bought the Palace. Directly below, on the coast, is the unusual Kaisers bridge, the stone built jetty where the Kaiser set out on his yacht for swimming trips. The Palace is definitely a place to take your camera. This beautiful building in picturesque gardens overlooks the sea and Corfu town.
 

 

Corfu Treasures Approximate Time 3 hours

 

We pick you up at the port and drive over to the west coast where we follow the road up to Paleokastritsa enjoying spectacular views along the way. After stopping for a drink and photo opportunity we go down to Paleokastritsa so you can cool off in the clear blue waters. We will then proceed back to Corfu town and visit the stunning Achilleion Palace which was inhabited by two great figures from European history, Empress Elisabeth of Austria and Kaiser William II of Germany. After a tour of the palace we can drop you off back in Corfu town for you to enjoy the rest of your visit or back to your ship.
 

 

Traditional Delights Approximate Time 3 hours

 

This excursion will show you two different sides of Corfu - the best beach on Corfu and a traditional village with spectacular views. Spiros will pick you up from your ship and take you across to the West coast of the Island where you will be able to cool off at Glyfada which is arguably the best beach on the Island. After your refreshing swim he will then take you to the pretty village of Pelekas where you are free to wander around this traditional village and enjoy a drink or lunch at one of the excellent tavernas there. Before returning to your ship Spiros will take to to the Kaiser's throne where Kaiser Wilhelm II used to come every sundown during his stay at the Achilleion Palace to admire the spectacular views.
