We have just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Valio and had a truly wonderful holiday. The views from the villa are spectacular and the sunsets each evening, with a glass of wine, are just beautiful. The villa is very well equiped and suited us perfectly. We have a 2 year old daughter and the outside space of the villa is very spacious and secure, so ideal for her to run around. This is our third visit to Kefallonia and, as always, we weren't disappointed. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and we definitely plan to return. We would highly recommend this villa for a wonderful family/romantic holiday!!

Excellent villa and excellent holiday. We were there 15th to 22nd May and when it was hot it was HOT, but we did have a storm mid week in the evening.
We found that hiring a car for the week was essential. We were glad that we'd chosen the north of the island as the villages of Assos and Fiskardo were beautiful. The local taverna, 5 minutes walk from the villa was extremely good and we had a treat on the Tues evening when they had traditional live music ALL evening. We were the last ones to leave! My new favourite instrument is the balalaika! In Assos the Plantanos Taverna was by far the best, just slightly behind the waterfront. The owner was so charming and accommodating AND generous! The cost of eating out was relatively cheap: starters about 3 euros and mains about 9 euros We ventured quite a way...Ag Efimia, Sami, Poros and Argostoli. Pony trekking great fun just outside Sami (30 euros for 1.5hrs), and Sami itself very pleasant for a day out. The caves nearby are worth a visit too, and only 5 euro entrance fee.
Parking is free everywhere and places like the castle at Assos, a beautiful walk up the hillside with spectacular views, are free as well. The villa would have benefited by having essentials such as washing up liquid included...we didn't always need to use the dishwasher..and there was only one tablet available. A spare loo roll would have been useful, too.
Some wonderful sunsets from this part of the island, also.

We satyed from 22.9.-29.9.10 at the villa.
Nice villa with stunning, uninterupted seaview. Very quiet area, we loved to sit on the terrace, hearing no human noise. Nice pool too. The only thing which can be improved is the garden. More mediteranean plants would be nice or some pots with plants on the big stoned terrace. Good tavern just a few steps to go. All in one, we loved the place and the whole island- we will definitely return.

This property was truly outstanding. Location wise-it was fantastic-Overlooking the sea and the mountains and the green vegetation-why would you want to visit anywhere else on the island. We have had villas for many years and this one was one of the best. The pool was very good-just the right size.
The house itself was smart and tidy with all amenities-Air conditioning worked very well and quietely. The living room was medium sized, cosy and light.
We did some touring and we came to the conclusion that this villa was in the best location on the island-the most beautiful and unspoilt. There are some lovely beaches closeby (Pebbled) I totally adored Asos-a must to see. There is also an excellent taverna just down the road-use it.
All in all, you could not be dissapointed with this property-9/10.
Agni travel were very attentitive and helful and I appreciated this.

Villa Valio
Superbly situated with 180 degree sea views and amazing sunsets.
Villa itself very well appointed and roomy.Everything you need in local village....5 minute walk away, including garage and pharmacy.
The staff at the Makis Restaurant in the village were delightful and the food good.
Just a 15 to 20 minute drive from Fiskardo, the fabulous Mytos beach and Assos, what more could one want.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at this villa. Everything was absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations. The villa is perfect. The setting is wonderful with a fantastic view across the sea and the peninsula of Assos from the terrace. The beach of Myrtos is something incredible and the most gorgeous beach I have ever seen and the town of Fiscardo is so full with atmosphere and romance. I would recommend this villa to anybody who wants privacy, tranquility and rest. My only recommendation is to be provided at a disposal of the guests a detailed road map of the island with the beaches marked.

We have just returned from Villa Valio and amazing villa and location. It was early in the season (I think we were some of the first people to arrive) and we were pleasantly surprised that most of the tavernas were open. Special mention must go to the Veggiera taverna (My husband though it was going to be a vegetarian! He was over the moon when he saw lamb kleftico on the menu!)
The weather: for the end of April/early May it was perfect. Hot sunny days and warm evenings - certainly warm enough to eat outside.
The Views: they were to die for. Each evening we drank a bottle of wine on the roof terrace, watching the sun set - it was the most romatic time ever.
The Pool: was cold!!! The first day we jumped in and jumped out even faster! Took a while to get used to it. By the end of the holiday it was noticeably warmer and.
Special mention: The Agni Travel driving instructions - the most detailed we have ever seen and made it impossible to get lost!
After an early start, then drive from the airport, we arrived to Villa Valio exhausted. What a delight the panoramic sea views were to our tired eyes. The villa was simply a delight. Our children spent most of the holiday in the pool, while we watched from the terrace overlooking. The gardens around completed the picture and it was one of the only villas, in Greece where we have stayed, where there was lush grass and gardens. Best feature was the very close by 'Veggera Taverna' (web description says it is walkable and it certainly was even with our usually complaining children). The taverna offered a varied selection of Greek food including spit roasted meats every night. Live music once a week completed a perfect and friendly location.
Francesca visited during our stay and helped us with directions to the nearby beach.
Many thanks for providing the Information villa book (most useful and probably the best we have ever seen!)
